As a wheelchair user for more than 40 years, I have experienced many structural barriers to participation in normal community activities.
It was deeply moving for me to consider the opportunities for ordinary freedom and social interaction that this playground will offer to future children with mobility impediments and other types of limitations. It will assist them to understand their potential, and to take full advantage of the world around them.
